Vinking feast in the Lavvo

Welcome to a gastronomic experience full of atmosphere by the beautiful Hov beach on the outer side of Lofoten. In the lavvo (Sami tent), which seats groups from 10 to 120 people, you will find the large fireplace lit. We have also lit the oil lamps and put warm reindeer furs on the benches. Inside you can hear the waves crashing against the beach and smell the food soon to be served. If the weather is nice, we roll up the walls to give you an unobstructed view of the sea. It is also possible to set the table on the beach itself.

Lecture and stories about the Northern Lights, and what are northern lights really? Is it possible to hear the Northern Lights? You will be notified by the northern lights are present (handy if it comes in the middle of the night). Storytelling about the Vikings, Northern Lights and Tore Hjort who had their long ships and the chief seat very close to our tent. We can see clear traces of the landing places and the porch. Jonny Kloeften, the storyteller, takes us to the year 986 when the Viking chieftain Tore Hjort went off to fight a famous battle against the White Christ and the new king outside of Bodø. We offer you our expert team of northern lights hunters; they are extremely knowledgeable authorized guides, and are well prepared and ready to take you wherever the chances to admire the magnificent Northern Lights are best. Local, experienced photographers will teach you how to get best result in artic light conditions. These experts are northern lights hunters and they know where and when to find the light. They will give you the tips for taking photographs you will be proud of. Also they will help you with working with your own camera and evaluate your photos afterwards, so you can learn and improve your skills and technique.
